Posy is a ten year old Chihuahua and a card carrying member of our super senior club. She spent several years in one home alongside two other small dogs, until both of her owners passed away within a short time of each other. Relatives cleared out the house and left the three dogs behind. A neighbor noticed, began bringing them food, and called Brady Animal Control, who turned to one of our rescue partners for help. When other rescues had no room, Posy and her companions came to us.

Since arriving, Posy has had a thorough checkup, and the news so far is encouraging. The lump on her tail turned out to be an abscess, and her vet has cleared her for a dental cleaning. While she is under, they will also remove a small growth from her chest, so one visit handles two jobs. Posy is ready for a home that treats a senior Chihuahua as the elder of the household, with every privilege that title implies.
