In Case Of Emergency

FOSTER FAMILY agrees to transport the dog(s) to a licensed veterinarian or animal emergency clinic to provide the dog(s) with necessary veterinary care upon emergency sickness, disease or injury. Approval must be obtained from an HLCR representative to take dog(s) for said treatment. The HLCR assigned veterinary for the dog(s), as well as list of HLCR approved veterinarians and preferred emergency clinic will be provided to the foster family when approval is granted.

A medical emergency is any sudden, unforeseen injury or illness that poses an immediate threat to the dog's life, has the potential to cause permanent damage, or subjects the animal to severe, unmanageable pain.
 

It is a critical situation where waiting for a standard vet appointment is not an option, and immediate stabilization and professional intervention are required to ensure the animal's survival.
